Why would my brev lay her eggs in the sphagnum moss and not in the soil? Will I need to remove the eggs and move them to an incubator? I was planning on leaving them in the soil of the enclosure but now she laid them in the damp moss.

Hello again =)
How many eggs ended up getting laid? Could b she didnt like something that was available and just couldnt hold it in... ive had one that just laid an egg ontop of a leaf and that was that... If there were only one or two eggs she may have more still inside her
She laid 4 eggs. Here are some pics, tell me if I'm doing anything wrong![]()
Now where should I put them, a shelf, a closet, somewhere away from any fans?

I would suggest somewhere cooler than 77.5'F - you may be cooking them a bit there. 70 or just under!
Thank you, should I keep them in the dark then? Maybe in my closet?

I'm not sure if light / dark is important, but temperature is! Needs to be cool.
Thanks again Debbie. You're the only one who corrected me on the temp, even on another site. I really appreciate it and hope these four will hatch. We'll see in 3 months.![]()

Pygmy's lay there eggs in all kind of places, they can dig a whole or beneath the moss or under dead leaves, ...
I always prefer to put them in small containers and put that container in my basement, where the temperature is low and the humidity is high and no lights.
Some eggs from montane pygmy's can be keept at night in a campingfridge(8°C-10°C), so you can create a temperature night drop.
For the brevs is roomtemperature okay!
Best regards,
Tom
