    Hi there
I know its probably a bit late now but ive tried a few bulbs in there. I had a few of the philips daylight bulbs and some energy saving bulbs in there. A lot of people said that you dont need any and others say it wont harm. I found that the Exxo terra bulb are too expensive for my liking.
I settled on a 20 watt halogen screw in bulb from B&Q mainly because my tank was a bit on the cool side and that the light keeps it at roughly 67-69 degrees.
If yours it at the right temp you could use a normal low watt energy bulb. Just keep a eye out on your temperature.

Daylight bulbs or the exo terra 2.0, as mentioned below, keep an eye on the temps!
