    Default How Does This Look?

    Hi guys,

After years of researching and months of changing my mind one way or the other, I've finally placed an order for a pair of pygmies! The day I made my decision, I had a look on a classifieds site and found an ad for a young pair of R. uluguruensis up for sale which had been put up that day! This is the species I had wanted most so I decided it must have been fate and I had to have them! Anyway, I setup my viv today and just wanted to get your opinions on whether I need to add anything or not? I'm thinking I may possibly need a couple more branches lower down, but then I don't really know where they'll spend most of their time.....what do you think? Here's the whole viv:

And here is a close up of the bottom of the viv, where I'm thinking of adding another branch or too....I'm not sure as I don't want to make it too cluttered for them:

    Thanks in advance,
    James

I've had a little bit of a rearrangement now...the ficus is a little more spread out, as is the fern and I've added a few more leaves to the bottom. I'll add a couple more branches too in the next couple of days. I'm also hoping that the patches ofmoss I put in will grow and spread, although I'm not holding my breath on that one!

The ad was placed by Neil Trickett of The Living Jungle who has been more than helpful in answering all my questions!

    looks great..

i would also suggest more cover near the bottom of the tank.. the majority of their time will be spent lower down in the viv as opposed to up higher when they are sleeping..
everybody dies. don't be surprised that people die, be surprised that you are still alive.

    Hi Gretchen,

Thanks for the advice! As I said, I have rearranged the plants a little....the fern now covers much more of the bottom and the ficus is more spread out giving more climbing places lower down. I may also add another small plant.....I just didn't want to make it too hard for them to find their food when I put it in there!
I'll be sure to post some pics of them when they arrive in the next couple of days
