    Default Carnivourus Plants

Thought id start a debate about keeping Carnivourus plants in a pygmys enclousure.
I am trying some pitcher plants, I avoided the venus fly traps for the obvious risk they can pose to everyone but feel the pitchers are quite safe (and take the odd fly or cricket)

Has anyone else tried this? with any sucsess?

    Thanks

Depending on the size of the pitcher plant, I'd be worried about my pygmys falling in and drowning. On one of the series David Attenborough narrates, he gives an example of how some of the plants can consume rats! Also, I'd be a bit concerned about livefood going into the vivarium just falling into the traps instead of the chameleons mouths.

I can't say I haven't thought about it myself though! The plants would probably thrive in the same conditions designed for your chameleons.

Maybe it'd be worth landscaping a small fish tank to use as a bog terrarium for your plants. I just google searched "bog terrarium" and it came up with a variety of cool looking results!
