    Default Nightmare lecturer

I need to vent some rage! I just got my short essay back, which we were told was not serious and wouldnt be marked as such. It was kind of cheeky and humorous, and I did fail to reference a few points (affixed references only, not inline).

Anyway, I got a pass. Not great but i certainly didnt expect to just scrape it. So i read the feedback... My feedback was a single paragraph which outlined how I am "disrespectful" and put "not effort" into the essay...

What was the reason for this? THREE, i repeat THREE grammatical errors. The worst part? They were all failure to capitalise 'I', which happens because my keyboard is shit and open office doesnt auto adjust this error.

I dont know whether to complain to someone about this? The essay was not of a very serious tone, but apart from failure to reference a few items inline it met the brief. I woudlnt care but to write that I am disrespectful on the feedback, with no other constructive comment is really shocking to me. This guy is getting payed a ton of money to insult students?

I will refrain from calling him names, but I am really put off uni by this stuck up *cough*. Oops!

If you're at university then coursework is supposed to be cross-marked by another lecturer, and you can put a grievance in if you are not happy with the comments and/or mark. If you're at college I would expect they have a similar system in place.

Feedback is supposed to be constructive.

Im at uni, its not technically part of the course, so i doubt it was cross checked.

The guy is just a ****. All he does is rabbit on about himself. I never really took much notice until today.

Came in today to find my portfolio and stuff had been moved to the other side of my studio. Turns out that some other student thinks they can just use other peoples designated areas. I spoke to a lecturer and i was told that unless they destroyed any of my work the lecturers cant even TALK to them about it.

What a shithole. I have no idea why i went back into education.
